Welcome to the Ashford Arms

The Ashford Arms is a village inn dating from Napoleonic times, set in the pretty and unspoilt village of Ashford in the Water, just 2 miles from Bakewell, Derbyshire, in the centre of the Peak District.

We have a traditional bar with open fireplace and no distractions - a great meeting place for visitors and locals alike or just a nice place for a quiet drink.

The pub is situated in the very centre of this lovely village, backing almost onto the River Wye. Outside the pub we have a large garden area which in summer is a lovely relaxing place in which to sit in the sunshine.

The popular restaurant offers theme nights throughout the week , including steak nights featuring Robert's famous 'sizzling sauces'. You can eat in the bar or we have a restaurant in a conservatory area which can host banquets and larger parties - please enquire for further details.

The Accommodation

The Ashford Arms offers good quality yet reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast accommodation close to Bakewell, in the centre of the Peak District.

We have eight bedrooms each with en-suite bath or shower, washbasin and WC, tea and coffee making facilities, TV and radios.

Bed and Breakfast prices are:

£65 per en-suite room Mondays to Thursdays
£85 per en-suite room Fridays to Sundays
£100 per en-suite room over the Christmas and New Year period. Evening meals range in price from £7.50 to £15 per person.

Winter specials - 3 nights for the price of 2! Sunday - Thursday nights inclusive, from 1st November to 31st March

The 'Master' bedroom boasts a four-poster bed. We also have five other double bedrooms and two family rooms which each sleep 3.

Since this a 200-year old building, each room is quite distinctive and many have exposed beams and stonework, while the building itself has many charming nooks and crannies.
